BECOME AN AD PARTNER

Learn how your company can benefit from partnering with AdPicc.

WHY PARTNER WITH ADPICC?

AdPicc is different from other ad platforms like Google Ad Sense in that we pay users via our own cryptocurrency AdCoin to continue to use our platform. Because of this, we ask for our partners to supply us with revenue to pay our users.

You may ask, “How could my company benefit from paying an ad platform just for that money to go straight to its users?” Well, paying our users to use our platform ensures that they will continue to use our platform, meaning that there is much more of a chance that your company’s ad will show up in their ad rotation.

But, your company may not be so happy with a percentage of chance that their ad will show up on user’s feeds. That’s why AdPicc has 3-tier system to give your company the ability to choose how many AdPicc users that you’d like to reach.

The Partner Tier System

  • Silver Tier
    $$
    • 5 Ads on the web
    • 7 Ads on the AdPicc app
    • 2-3 ad categories
    • Est. 30% Reach
  • Bronze Tier
    $
    • 2 Ads on the web
    • 3 Ads on the AdPicc app
    • 1 ad category
    • Est. 10% Reach

Tier System Terms & Conditions

  • Each Ad Submission is reviewed by AdPicc and if the ad category chosen for the ad does not reflect the ad’s content, AdPicc has the right to refuse distributing the ad on its platform. This applies to ads that have multiple categories as well.
  • AdPicc is not responsible if a company does not receive the amount of traffic that is estimated on the tier chart.
  • Although the Gold Tier says “unlimited ads,” there is in fact a limit to the ads that AdPicc will distribute. If the AdPicc servers start to slow significantly due to a Gold Tier company distributing too many ads, AdPicc has the right to limit the company’s ad distribution and will send a notice to said company.
  • The added 3% chance of an ad showing up on a user’s feed regardless of category under the Gold Tier is set up to only show up on a user’s feed once a week at most. AdPicc is not responsible if a company does not receive the amount of traffic estimated under the added 3% chance regardless of category.

OUR STARTUP STORY

The Problem

Website users are tired of going to a website only to see an ad that is not only obnoxious and annoying, but also quite irreverent to that user.

It is this experience that leads to users installing ad blockers, further cutting into the revenue streams of advertisers.

AdPicc’s mission is two fold:

  1. Create an experience for web users that is unobtrusive and recommend ads that that user would take some interest in. And,
  2. Bring advertisers revenue streams back up by incentivizing users to disable their ad blockers in place for ‘better ads.’

The Solution

AdPicc’s solution to this problem is to create an ad platform that is customizable and profitable for the user.

If the user can customize their ads by category, they can further decrease the rate at which they get irrelevant ads. This helps advertisers as well, being that if the advertisers ads are more targeted, the users that are interested in their ad’s category are far more willing to make a purchase.

We also want to have a cryptocurrency called AdCoin that we give to users every time they view an ad. The reasoning behind this is simple, we want to pay users to get them to keep coming back to our platform. It is understandable that advertisers would be wary of us paying users, but we look at it this way: If we pay our users, they will use our platform ultimately meaning that they have more of a chance to see companies advertisements.

Ultimately this will lead to our partners gaining a profit even after paying AdPicc for hosting their ads on our platform.

Competitors

We have found that although there are some alternatives to AdPicc out there, none of them fully solve the problems that we are trying to solve.

  1. AdBlock Plus – This company has a browser extension and a mobile browser that originally blocks ads, but allows some ads that they deem “acceptable.” Although AdPicc has a browser extension too, we hope to create an ad platform that integrates not only the browser extension, but also through our mobile app. AdPicc isn’t necessarily focused on blocking ads, rather we want to present ads that are relevant to the user via categories.
  2. AdChoices – This company is much closer to what AdPicc hopes to become: a product that allows users to choose what kind of ads they would be interested in. While AdChoices has the ad categories like AdPicc, AdPicc also pays users to use our service.
  3. PhunCoin – This company pays cryptocurrency to its users in exchange for their advertising data. AdPicc strives to follow in this company’s footsteps, though PhunCoin does not have any way to allow users to choose the kind of ads they would like to see while browsing.

Unique Value Proposition

AdPicc is a user customizable ad platform that helps advertisers reach users through targeted ad categories.

AdPicc – An Ad Blocker With ‘Better Ads.’

Unfair Advantage

I, Andrik Powell, have worked at the tech-based company Phunware for 4 years on the marketing team. This means that I have experience in marketing and the corporate environment and that I have some idea on how a business is run. Being at Phunware for as long as I have, means that I also have quite the list of connections that I could reach out to for guidance.

Phunware is also the parent company of the company PhunCoin which pays users cryptocurrency to its users for selling their advertising data. This means that I already have a background on how cryptocurrency works in the advertising business.

I have also been an avid ad blocker user for at least 5 years. I know what it’s like to remove all advertising from my web surfing. This makes it so that I can understand what exactly how web users who use ad blockers are feeling.

Customer Segments

There are two kinds of customers that I am trying to reach: adblock users and advertisers.

The first customers that I am trying to reach are people that use the web, but are either tired of seeing irrelevant ads or using ad blockers to avoid seeing ads. The idea of AdPicc is to make ‘better ads’ that make users who hate seeing ads, actually see the usefulness of relevant ads.

The early adopters would be the users that use ad blockers. The important thing to note is that it’s not just users that use ad blockers; it has to be users that are always trying out new software. I’m thinking maybe tech YouTubers or just people who like to try out new things. The users that use ad blockers just for productivity sake, would be less likely to be an early adopter.

The last and most important customers would be advertisers. If the platform has not ads for advertisers, then there can be no platform. The advertisers are the ones that supply the content for the platform. The ‘ad block’ users are just the receivers of the content. AdPicc is the middleman in that, we allow advertisers to use our platform to eventually get revenue from AdPicc’s users. Although the advertisers pay to use our service, eventually they’ll get reimbursed from the revenue they receive for the users buying their products.

Channels

There are two ways AdPicc can reach the “ad block” web users. First, the easiest way is through social media marketing. It may sound strange at first to hear that an ad platform needs to put out ads on other ad platforms, but it’s one of the easiest ways. Making sure to create good marketing campaigns is essential to find users.

The second way to reach these users is through word-of-mouth. This can be people telling friends about the ad platform. It can also be tech YouTubers making a video about the platform informing their audience.

Trying to reach the advertisers is a much more daunting task. First, you need to find a way to contact advertisers. Possibly a good way to do this is to sign up for some tech conventions and see if you can find a way to pitch to some investors. If you can find a way to get investors, investors can help you contact advertisers. Just having some investors gives advertisers more confidence as well.

Revenue Streams

The first stream of revenue would be from investors to get the platform started. It may be possible to start the platform with just advertisers, but advertisers can be difficult to get without investors.

Once advertisers get on the platform, steady revenue streams will start coming in. As long as advertisers keep renewing their tier plans, AdPicc will be continuing to get money. It is important to keep in mind that some of that money will be going to the users for using the service. It is only when the advertiser revenue can cover up the investors’ cost and the customers’ cost, that AdPicc will start to make a profit.

Cost Structure

Fixed Costs

  • Hire someone to code the app.
  • Putting app on iOS and Android Stores.
  • Hire someone to create the ad platform database.

Variable Costs

  • Server space (yearly). Maybe buy more space later.
  • Conventions, travel to pitch idea.
  • Investors?
  • Paying cryptocurrency for users using AdPicc
  • Rent, living at home, food.
  • Gas for driving.

Key Metrics

AdPicc will be succeeding if the advertiser revenue exceeds the customer revenue. If the customer revenue continues to drop after it has been stable for some time, then it may be time to consider the future of AdPicc.
